I Have Become My Mother/Father
What did we Baby Boomers do with the world that was given to us? Did we improve it or make it worse?
Our memories are made by our life experiences - big or small. Some
memories tend to fade or become confused as time passes. This does not
hold true for momentous events, be they personal moments or shared with
others.
Share your memories with others and tell us where you were when
...... Neil Armstrong Set foot on the moon?
...... President Kennedy was Shot?
...... Martin Luther King was assassinated?
...... Elvis Presley died?
...... Son of Sam was caught?
...... Lee Harvey Oswald was killed?
...... the Big Bopper, Buddy Holly, and Ritchie Valens plane crashed?
...... you first heard Don MacLean's "American Pie"?
...... The Vietnam war ended?
...... The Korean war started?
...... The Cuban missile crises was averted?
...... etc.
Please send us your Baby Boomer memories

When John F. Kennedy was assinated, I was 10 years old. I think my brother was 5. My parents, my brother, and I were living in Victoria, Texas. I remember watching the Special Report, and watching John F. Kennedy's funaral on TV. Back then TV was black & white.

This is one of the few memories that I can remember vividly from my youth. I had just turned 5 years old and was visiting my aunt with my mother and sister.
